Adult Princess Costume
Have you ever wanted to wear an adult princess costume? Grownups like to dress up, too. Whether you want to dress up like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty or some long forgotten princess your costume will have some similar elements.
Princesses wear beautiful dresses. Princesses almost always have some kind of crown or tiara. Princesses are beautiful. When you dress up as a princess it is crucial to include all of these elements.
Stories of princesses who have some sort of crisis but then get rescued by a hero of some kind are common. Girls grow up hearing them and dreaming of their own knight in shining armor coming to the rescue. Most adult women have at least considered wearing a princess costume at one time or another.

Old prom dresses, wedding dresses or bridesmaid's dresses can all be converted to princess dresses with ease. Even if the dress is rather plain, a little work is all it will take to create a garment fit for a princess. Perhaps you could add sequins, beads, or imitation pearls. Spray glitter can be used to give the dress an all-over sparkle.
Beads, glitter, sparkly hair clips, and plenty of other common household items can be used to create a crown or tiara. Tiaras or crowns can also be found in department stores or toy stores, in the children's dress-up section. If you want a more authentic look, most bridal shops carry tiaras that any princess would be proud to wear.
No princess would be complete without beautiful shoes. You could raid your own closet, or use your costume as the perfect excuse to go shoe shopping. If you are going for the Cinderella look, you can even find clear shoes that look like glass.
Of course, clothing isn't the only thing to consider when dressing up as a princess. Hair and make-up are an important part of looking like a princess.
A princess should have light, pretty make-up. Consider using eyeshadow containing sparkles for an enchanted look. Perhaps some body glitter would compliment your princess costume.
Princesses always have beautiful hair. Try wearing your hair in an up-do, or curling it. If you are not satisfied with the look you create, you can always purchase a costume wig befitting of a princess.
